FIME is the first test centre accredited by MasterCard International to perform PayPass testing.

WHAT IS PAYPASS TESTING?

MasterCard International has developed a contactless payment technology called PayPass™. This technology is implemented in readers and cards. As for EMV, MasterCard requests that independent laboratories perform PayPass testing of PayPass products before they go to market.

In partnership with MasterCard International, FIME has developed a qualified test bench for PCD and PICC, which allows us to conduct PayPass testing according to MasterCard PayPass specifications. This test bench covers analog, digital and functional layers. PayPass testing consists of verifying the conformity of these layers with PayPass specifications.

Over the past 2 years FIME has accumulated experience in PayPass testing, and recognition by PayPass vendors. FIME also performs combination testing for MasterCard International, once the first 3 steps of PayPass testing have been performed.
