TERMINAL TESTINGFIME has been testing terminals since 1995, when EMVCo decided to assess the quality of terminal hardware. EMVCo went on to have terminal testing performed by independent laboratories. WHAT IS TERMINAL TESTING?Terminal testing means checking the conformity of the different characteristics of a smart card terminal (reader and associated software). FIME may test mechanical, electrical, RF and protocol behaviors of terminals, to make sure that they are compliant with specifications. Terminal testing starts with the hardware, to make sure that it is compliant with ISO standards or other specifications and requirements, such as EMV Level 1, PayPass™ or ICAO requirements. As terminal development deals with both hardware and software, FIME’s expertise in terminal testing also concerns the application running within the terminal. WHY PERFORM TERMINAL TESTING AT FIME?FIME brings the entire range of expertise needed to thoroughly test terminals. Terminal testing may indeed require hardware expertise, software validation and interoperability testing. FIME has developed the capacity to produce high quality testing in record time. Our experts will also guide you to improve your design, and you are welcome to perform terminal testing with us in order to speed up your development and certification. FIME EXPERIENCE IN TERMINAL TESTINGToday, FIME tests terminals developed for different markets: Banking, identity, mass transit, health... The technologies tested vary: Magstripe, contact smart cards, contactless and RFID. Our expertise in terminal testing is acknowledged by worldwide leaders such as Ingenico, VeriFone, Lipman, Hypercom and many others. TERMINAL TESTING |
